Uzbekistan’s Air Navigation Authority, Uzaeronavigation, has officially joined SOCEA. This significant expansion was formalized with a signing ceremony held in Samarkand on December 21, 2023.
The ceremony was attended by key figures including SUE Director Doniyor Djumaev, Deputy Director responsible for ATM Andrey Zaytsev, and ATM Supervisor Stanislav Naumov from Uzbekistan. Representing Türkiye were DHMI Deputy Director General Dr. Cengiz Paşaoğlu, Head of Air Navigation Department Özcan Durukan, and Eurocontrol Branch Manager Berrin Turgut. AZANS Director Farhan Guliyev and Airspace Department Head Agabek Balabekov from Azerbaijan also attended.
This collaboration is expected to strengthen operational efficiency, commitment to flight safety, raise aviation standards, increase connections, and support the global air transportation chain. Uzaeronavigation's participation indicates SOCEA's growing impact beyond regional boundaries, aligning with its goals of increasing efficiency, fostering collaboration, enhancing safety, and sharing critical knowledge.
