The Regional Air Navigation Safety Coordination Platform for European and Asian ANSPs (SOCEA) is a pioneering collaboration platform established to coordinate actions in the field of flight safety and the harmonization of air flows. Our primary aim is to enhance the safety, efficiency, and modernization of air traffic management through innovative solutions and strategic partnerships among Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) across Europe and Asia.

Our Mission

At SOCEA, we are dedicated to:

    • Enhancing Safety: Our goal is to reduce aviation incidents and mitigate the risk of catastrophes through the development and implementation of a regional strategy for ensuring flight safety. We promote and develop cooperation in air navigation between ANSPs, contributing to the effective implementation of ATM safety control systems in the region and applying a risk-based approach to safety management.
    • Boosting Efficiency: We foster a coordinated approach to cooperation between ANSPs, ensuring the seamless flow of air traffic and efficient use of airspace. By discussing and enhancing air navigation safety procedures, techniques, and standards, we aim to increase capacity and optimize airspace utilization.
    • Modernizing the Industry: SOCEA promotes the modernization and standardization of the ATM industry through digitalization, system-wide information management (SWIM), and other future concepts and technologies focused on interoperability and interconnectivity of systems.
